Mary Narayan was recently inducted into the Fellows of Transcultural Nursing Scholars for her work in promoting cultural sensitivity through presentations, publications, and clinical practice. Much of her scholarly work has focused on cultural sensitivity in home health nursing.

Dr. Shang presented the keynote address at the National Association for Home Care and Hospice preconference, H31T; Home Healthcare, Hospice, and Information Technology Conference, October 19, 2024. Her presentation was titled “Advancing Home Healthcare: The Impact of Predictive Risk Models on Infection Prevention, Quality of Care, and Clinician Perspectives.”

She also provided a podium presentation on October 21, 2024, at the National Association for Home Care and Hospice conference. The presentation title was Assessing Readiness for Home-based Palliative Care: Pilot Study Results from Home Healthcare Clinicians, Patients, and Caregivers.
